It was only early February that e-commerce giant Amazon had listed freight forwarders Forward Freight India with Amazon Freight as one of the logistics partners, when it was launching Amazon Freight India. On April 13, Amazon had listed e-tailer Bigbox Express as one of the freight forwarders. Then last week, Bigbox Express got listed again on Amazon’s platform. Amazon has opened up more than 40 freight forwarders in India. There were some that were listed in July, including Forward Freight India.Amazon didn’t comment on the future plans of the freight forwarders. Tie-ups between e-tailers and freight forwarders have become commonplace now, given the huge online marketplace demand. Most recently, several freight forwarders have partnered with e-tailers to bring more freight to India.
